As we gather here today to celebrate our 50th anniversary, let us come together in prayer to honor the community friendships that have shaped our lives. I invite you to hold hands as we seek his blessings.
Heavenly Father, we thank you for this special day. Today, we commemorate the friendships formed during simpler times in elementary, middle, and high schools in the Lower Richland community during the late 60s and early 70s. It is clear from those present that these shared experiences and friendships have remained in our hearts over the past five decades.
Heavenly Father, you have blessed the people gathered here today, each unique in our lives. Regardless of where life has taken us and the individuals we've met, only those in this room and others in the Lower Richland community shared those formative years with us, allowing us to create these cherished memories. We especially remember friends who cannot be with us today due to illness; we ask for your presence and guidance over their medical providers, bestowing your healing hands upon them.
Heavenly Father, we give you praise as we break bread with the food you have provided, savoring these special friendships. May you continue to bless these LR Friends and their families. We ask this in your name, Amen.
